On a serious note I dont like penny stocks because they are subject to a lot of manipulation. Everything from email spam, paid pumpers etc.

In addition the spread is so small on a lot of them it can take hours or minutes to lose your ass and not recover. Its can be hard to sell one once a drop takes place on a small spread.

It just doesn't fit into my investment plans.

Ace-wtf 11-01-2005 09:20 AM

lets get back to those money making stocks

depends on how you trade and what you trade, with a stock like that one think about statements like

"Beirut matters because it is a gateway to the rest of the Middle East, where the need for security solutions is high," stated Pro.Sec's president, Gen. Georgiou."

Yea I just don't like they way they keep putting out a new PR everyday. If they drop back down into the .06's I'll grab some because I'm only in them for the quick 20-50% gains and then I'm out.

My rule is never hold one of these fuckers long because you will lose. Penny's making it big are like a pipe dream. IMO So if you just play the percentages you will almost always come out ahead.

I'm pretty new at actually trading but I've been following this stuff for quite some time so I could learn them.

Ace-wtf 11-01-2005 09:26 AM

How much money you got to invest, are you looking into long term investments or rather day/swing trading investments?

If you don't trade very often and neither need very fast executions every average online broker (ameritrade, scottrade etc.) is good for you. The commissions shouldn't really matter then too.

pussyserver - BANNED FOR LIFE 11-01-2005 09:30 AM

i wonder is there a script or a wrapper of some sort I can put this symbol in and send it to you but you will not be able to read it until after the 4th

pussyserver - BANNED FOR LIFE 11-01-2005 09:32 AM

I will say this, I got 40K in (hyut) and I am not the least bit worried

50k is a good amount to start with.

For serious trading you need to get informations and know how to use them and I'm not talking about watching CNBC stock tips and then buying some of the advertised ones.

You need data feed, software for doing analysis and also news feed.

Be prepared to spend way more time on learning than you'd actually like to, if you're serious about it.

If that's too much for you, you should look for other investments.

Never buy into tips or seminars. People who actually make money don't need that kind of income.

I'm sorry. I didn't realize you had a broker's license and was employed by a major brokerage. What are your credentials that anyone should pay you for a stock tip?
