Special SUPER DUPER thank you to tony404 who even sent me books!

We're still total infants, but learning bit by bit. Last night we tried out the new hot shoe adapter (which allows us to use the new lighting WITH the remote...meaning we can both be in the pics.)

Very nice you guys. The bright white background does a good job in bringing out your skin tones and your hair. And I must say lighting is awesome. No unslightly shadows. How many lights did you use? Looks like you had at least three or four bright whites with no filter cover.

Halcyon knows the answer to this better than i do, but we only had one flash/light/umbrella set up. the overhead light in the room was on, and i think we may have had a shop light on the floor, but i don't recall. we're beginnners so all feedback is welcome - thanks!

One light (B1600), one stand, one umbrella.

I love the AlienBees starter kit...but didn't go with that. I just purchased a JTL everlight 500 watt with a 24 x 24 softbox. Self photographing can really be a bitch...looks like you folks are off to a great start.
