What is the best server side stats?

I just had Webalizer installed on my server and I REALLY didn't like it.

I can't see where the referrals come from, and that is probably the most important thing I need.

Do you guys have any suggestions?

Urchin Stats = the best.

It gives you every single detail. Where the surfer came from, how their clicking pattern is, where they exited your site, how long did they stay ext..

Yup i was about to recommend the samething. Ask your host about it, they might have a deal with urchin and you can probably get it for a good price.

CN-Stats (http://www.cnstats.com/en/download.php) is pretty impressive, and there's a free version, but - you have to install code on each page you want to track. It's great for fully templated sites, but if you have thousands of HTML files, forget it

http://www.urchin.com/products/v5/purchase.html

Urchin 5 is server side. As long as you don't need the campaign tracking module it's not a bad price - $895 for 100 sites and log files.

Webalizer shows Referral stats, otherwise its setup incorrectly

The other common problem is by default it shows only top 10/20/30 referral sites - you can change that easily usually in /etc/webalizer.conf to show top 100 or ALL sites

I think webalizer is actually quite a good stats package

awstats is really good,
insecure as fuck tho, you will need to add some extra security for it,
like an .htaccess authentication.
