My son's first prom.... DAMN I'm glad it's almost over!

They just had a romantic candle light dinner and his girl looks absolutely lovely. He had light jazz on, every course served without error, everything was great until the dog walked by (long haired collie) and lit his tail on fire

So off to the dance they just went. And off for a much needed glass of wine for me!

I'm walking away from the GFY drama to relax and reflect on how frigging old I am and pray to god he keeps his damn hands to himself.

haha..I just went through that last year. I have pictures of my sweet son busting out with gang signs during the picture taking..knowing his sense of humor.. I got a good laugh..but it freaked his dates parents right out

Ha I just noticed this thread had been bumped... Well get THIS.. the saga continues...

Today I guess she broke up with him!! They've been going out for months now so it's kind of a surprise. He seems to not be very devestated about it either.

I guess she just wanted to go to the prom.

Actually pisse me off cuz I have spent a fucking TON of money on all this. Not just the suit, shoes, tickets, dinner, flowers, etc etc etc (He's only 15 so he can't pay for that stuff) but the entire dating thing has been expensive for ME.... and then she drops him after what he thinks was a good time.

Oh well I just told him to do the right thing, which is SNAP your finger in the air and say NEXT! lol

RRRED, your son is 15 and I expect so is the girl. I don't think you can expect long term relationships on that age. He had a nice time and that's what counts. Don't spend so much money on such things next time ;)
