m3's are great. Id love to have one...as a 2nd car. Everybody and his dog has a bmw (m3). Sl 500 s is a classy car.

You did mention my 2 favourite cars though (and a Viper maybe).
Having those 3 in front of my house would make me a happy man.

Chicks dig a sl 500 way more and i know what im talking about hehe.

I drove both a bmw convertible and 500 sl. The 500 sl couldve gotten me laid everyday. And that was the old model! Which i happen to prefer over the new one btw.

If you go with the M3.I wouldn't recommend the smg.I have one and as fun as it was the first few months it's jerky in automode and in sport mode it shifts much to hard.It literally pounds the car under heavy throttle.

SL 500 is getting a refreshed front and rear end. Go with the M6 unless you wanna see maaajjjjjjjor depreciation

Doesn't look like this particular MB held it's value.In 2 years it lost nearly 30%.

Driveaway price on a decently optioned SL500 is near 100g.

Who cares about new? Save the cash and buy it used.

My friend got his SL with 3000 miles on it current model year for $82k and it was starmarked. Saved $20k over new.

You buy the $68k Bimmer and you're going to have a $48k Bimmer soon enough. The best part of the depreciation has already taken place on the SL, go for the Benz and don't think twice.

The other thing is too that the M3 isn't a fair comparison to the SL500.

The M3 is more akin to a CLK55 AMG Convertible.
