It's the same with usenet. So many people trying to make themselves look big and clever all the time.
Here's a little bit of advice.. There's a special requirement to actually look intelligent, professional, and "cool".
You have to actually BE them.

The truth is, that all these "adults" that come to these forums, or usenet, or whatever, and either start talking trash, or acting like a "player", are the same people that got beat up for their lunch money at school earlier this year.

"Payrollpete", you say, "they are not people to be on bad terms with, there just isn't any point."
I say that there's even less of a point purposely coming onto a public forum and goading people for no reason other than to make yourself look "cool".
It reminds me of all the sad cases out on the street that feel the need to be a part of a "gang".. people that don't really know how to fit in with society.

On top of that, as a businessman myself in many areas on, and away from the internet, the last person I want to be associated with, is one that acts like an ass just for the sake of it.
People that do not know how to conduct theirselves in a professional manner in a public forum, are simply not worth the time of anyone important.
That said, if those people are ALREADY associated with anyone important, I can assure you that they aren't going to be praised for this type of behaviour.

What I see more and more on the internet these days, are grown ups acting more like children than children do themselves.
If that's the image you all want portrayed for yourselves and your companies, then so be it.
But don't expect to be taken seriously, and don't assume that anyone really cares about your little "clique".
It doesn't make you important.

I would consider Anthony a player in this business, afterall, he use to run Netpond which did business and helped do business with thousands of webmasters a day. Anthony is a guy who will break his back helping you.

How do you determine a "player" in this business...
Quite easily...
1) Has he or she lead the way for thousands of webmasters?
2) Does the persons income generate over 6 figures a month
3) Is this guy true to his friends, and his associates

Anthony is all the above and more. I guess you have never really talked to the guy 1 on 1, it's alot different then. He is here to help himself and this business as well as help others. The guy was helped alot by others when he first started out, so now he returns the favor. He wouldn't bash anyone or jump on the bandwagon with out good reason.

The people who bash anthony should get a reality check and make this guy your friend, he's really helpfull and a good reliable friend. There are very few true friends in this industry, and anthony is one of them.

Yes, he showed me his immense value by throwing signup numbers in Kman's face. A real man by definition. He may have great successes and a phat history of being a standup guy, but it's very easy to trash all that with stupid petty shit like that.
