I do multiple applications at the same time, consuming most of
the available processing power, thus i let my PC rest 16 hrs daily

I've been struct with a shotty virus that eats my processing speed. Trying to rid myself of it as we speak, so I've rebooted a lot in the last 3 days. Before that, I used to go about 3 weeks at a time.

I can't even remember when I last restarted my powerbook. Probably 2-3 weeks ago. Solid.

Usually I leave mine on for months, but today I was forced to restart thanks to some idiot's myspace page loading like 10 music videos at once and shit.

I leave mine on always, but like to restart it usually at least once a day.

And I do the maintenance thing at least once a week... defrag, disc errors, cleanup, virus scan...

in other words I'm a geek.
