The Quake series (Quakes 1-4), although q4's single player wasn't all that great.

i'm a huge half-life fan, bought both the day they each came out,

but i can tell you F.E.A.R. kicks major ass, just released last week, ranked best fps of 2005.

i'm currently on interval 9 of about 11 and i give the game an A
