Cross-Browser/Version Debugging -Urgent Help Needed!

Is there any software or site that will completely debug a webpage to make sure it is cross-browser/version comatible? I need something that will also debug javascript.

One of my cj2s is mostly javscript created on the client side to lower the file size and I have a feeling that a lot of the visitors are not seeing the links. Even thought I have a high prod, I believe that it should be a lot higher. Can anyone please help me?

Do your design and testing on the closest version 4 stable browser that's Netscape... (4.08 Pro is a good choice).

Anything programmed for the web now should be a minimum compatability of version 4, if they are using a browser that's not 4 compatible they probably are running at 640x480 on a monochrome monitor and don't yet own a credit card

I use Netscape 4.08 Professional to do my website testing... Then I will intermittently check to see things look and work almost identical in IE.

ALWAYS test in Netscape... IE tries to guess what you're doing and so some mistakes,(LOTS OF EM') if you make them, will not show up.... It's not nice to find all of your errors showing up when you think you've finished your site and then test in Netscape to find you've got a shitload of errors.

If it works properly in Netscape 4.08 Pro it'll generally work well for Unix/Linux Web Browsers, Macs, MS Crap & WebTV

Use Netscape as your testing browser while creating and then test with IE crap on and off... If it works well in both you should have no probs with other operating systems... Just try to keep as standard to 4 code as possible, less you put in exceptions for the different browsers

Browsers will be the safest test of your code, to use some 3rd party software it would basically need be BOTH of these browsers to test the code effectively,(more chance of bugs because of this also) so doubt you'll find anything that's too decent for this,... Plus you'd still need test the final code with the target browsers... So my advice like a few above is to just test with the browsers
