Friends that steal from you?

Long time friend of mine is moving out of my place tomorrow, and she's packed a few items that are mine ...nothing of any real value...but it's odd that she thinks it's hers.

Should i beat her up, steal it all back or something else?

exactly... what goes around comes around. karma is a bitch. so on & so forth... in my opinion few things are worse than a thief... if you steal from someone you are supposed to be friends with, then that is some low shit.

My answer is different than it was going to be from just reading the subject line.

In this case since it involved a roommate situation I agree with the comment above that over time one could make such a mistake, especially items as you said were not of any real value. If it's something you want tell her nicely that she mistakenly packed it. If it's not something you really want I would just let it go.

Now responding to the "Subject line"...
As I have gotten older I have whittled my friends down to a tight knit group that I would never have that problem.

Maybe she just doesn't realise they are yours.

If they've been in her room or possession for a while she may have grown to them and is just thinking they are hers. I'm sure she isn't stealing them. You make it sound like she's a criminal.

If its just small stuff, I wouldn't worry about it unless its a big deal to you. If we're just talking about things like plates, utensils, pillows, towels type deal, its easy to forget who actually bought them. But if it is a big deal, just bring it up and talk to the person.
