My quick e5hosting review.
I started using e5hosting about 5 months ago. I wasnt even looking for a new host at the time and I was perfectly satisfied with my then host. It just so happened that I was offered an account to test out their system and give them any feedback about problems that arose.
I was pretty reluctant to host anything of importance with e5 because my host at that time was owned by a good friend of mine, so I more or less trusted my friend! On my servers at my old host I had 6 months+ uptime on all of the FreeBSD servers, definitely not something that I would have given up overnight. So when testing e5 I did what I felt most comfortable with which was to slowly test them. What I mean by this is I started transferring domains over which didnt hold great importance at the time but would at least allow me to get a better idea of their service and if it would be of any use to me. Overall, I have had very little troubles with their service. Im a very technical person that can configure any service on a Unix/Linux system but I still wanted to interact with their support for them to put their money with their mouth is. Here is where the story gets fun. I had what you might calling a falling out with my friend that was providing me with good hosting before so I decided to switch completely. E5hosting was just the quickest bet since I had already done some business with them. I decided screw it and moved everything over. All domains, all files, everything. Its been about 4 months of having everything with them and I have yet to have an issue including downtime. I just wanted to write this quick review for people that need a host or are thinking about switching to give e5 a shot. Carry on. |
