"You cannot litigate personal choices and lifestyles," - A REPUBLICAN SAID THIS!

Was reading how the House is about to pass the cheeseburger bill protecting fast food chains from lawsuits when I stumbled across this statement.

"You cannot litigate personal choices and lifestyles," said Rep. Mike Rogers, R-Mich.

Too bad those freaks don't apply this more literally like they do other things.

You are right. Delicious foods should be illegal. We should not be allowed to pick out what foods we want to eat, the government should decide so we don't get too fat or hurt ourselves. I want to sue Wendy's, their foods is too delicious!!!

Mr Dickovitch, my point was that they would apply this statement to food choice and not gay marraige or OTHER 'personal choices or lifestyles'

How you pick your food, or what food you pick is not what I was really laughing at when I read that article it was how hypocritical those fucktards are.

You have got a point but I think that everyone already pretty much knows how retarded the whole gay marriage thing is. I mean, to me, I couldn't care any less if two guys want to get a piece of paper that gives them a better tax break lmao. When I see those little bumper stickers on a minivan in the suburbs that say, "Man+Woman=Marriage" or whatever...I just want to shoot the idiots. The right wing nuts don't see it that way. It's not what god intended, thus it should NOT be allowed.

There will indeed be gay marriage. You just have to chalk it up to the fact that we are living in a time that 100 years from now, people will look back and say, "Damn they were some backwoods hicks..what the fuck was that all about?" It's true of every generation of people. 100 years from now, we'll all look like retards who didn't have a clue. Then 200 years from now, those people will. And so on, and so on. It's just the way it works.

liberals want to litigate your personal choice to own firearms, your right to be free from excessive taxation, your right to not pay the way for illegal aliens and on and on... funny how it works both ways. it isnt "us vs them" as much as you would like it to be.

No doubt both sides have some moronic stances on certain issues. I think the one in question here though is the gay marriage one. I don't think he was trying to say that liberals are so much better than conservatives, but that the gay marriage issue is extremely retarded and a complete waste of taxpayer monies and government time. This thread will no doubt turn into a right wing vs. left wing flame fest if given the chance, but I think the main issue is that banning gay marriage is stupid and wrong, and that point shouldn't be diluted with right/left rhetoric.

I've been mostly a voting Republican since the 80s (minus my vote for Kerry this past election) so yeh, I agree, both parties are assholes, and I will point out when they are being hypocritical --- equally.

I can't stand Affirmative Action it's racism plain and simple, how this country was formed (people with guns) and the 2nd Amendment seem clear as day to me, and excessive taxation, didn't we have a Tea Party ruckus about that shit back in the day?

Sadly as of late, the Republicans that get the top spots are REALLY fucking looney ass Christian Taliban types. I don't think they represent the party well at all and sadly they are great at whipping the psychotic masses into fear lately which plays very well for them.
