              I'd take the one with the lens for $200 more. I doubt it'd be a lens you'd want to shoot professionally with, but it's something you can experiment with while learning how to get around on the camera.

                          That is correct, but it doesn't mean that the current generation is useless. The 20D is a great camera and is an industry favorite. At this price, it also makes it possible for people interested in entering the market to do so on a semi-limited budget.

                                                  I really do love my Canon 20D. It is a nice camera and does a lot of things. Maybe in the future I might go get the 5D? but not right now.

                                                  The thing I really nice is a better lens with more zoom. Like 200 or 300 mm. That would be nice.

                                                          I don't know if you can buy it (new) separately, but the 18-55mm EF-S lens is definitely worth LESS than $USD200...

                                                              I'd say buy just the body which I'm sure is around 800 USD
                                                              Its the good lens that will cost you 1,500 USD
