sales tax question
Im looking to start selling custom pc's on line and i need a sales tax certificate to become a wholesaler for a certain company. I want to know... do i charge sales tax for purchases over the internet?
if anyone could elaborate how this is done i would appreciate it. |

I would think so.
But look at what the big boys ( Circuit City, Walmart, ...) do in your area ( which is ??? ) . Now, if you sell out of state or country: different rules.

my understanding is if you have a presence (retail store, wharehouse, etc.) in the state to which you are shipping then yes but I could be wrong.

I think only if the sale is applicable ie. if the person you're selling to lives in the same state
