Yea, he said the program didn't have enough money in the bank to cover webmaster's checks and they have to wait until someone pays them before they can pay webmasters.

Must be operating on a pretty low margain.

I guess if they had more money in another account they could have moved that in to cover their ass and save their rep, but it appears they didn't, and that's just the way it goes when your company is going down :(

Obviously, you are even younger than 16.

The guy wrote checks on money he had.
He had no reason to believe that DatingGold would bounce, so had no chance of covering by other means.
He got informed of this basically when the people he wrote the checks to contacted him.

Seems DG knew about the problem ( see previous page ), so they should have contacted their affiliates to warn them about the possibily. Then he could have covered with other sources.

They knew. That would have been the best idea if they would have notified everyone, but you can understand why they didn't if they thought they possibly had a snowball's chance to cover the checks when they were due.

A good number of people in this business live off of one major sponsor's checks. Now this poor guy, IF he continues with them, will have all of their checks held up until the bank prove's their worth paying.

I have a client that ONLY promotes dating and he has only ONE major site that he promotes them with. Multiple sponsors are out of the question for him. Good thing he has a great sponsor.

Kinda hard to believe that a guy who makes over 6k in a single pay period will get checks bounced because of 1 of his 6k checks bouncing.. c'mon man! you're starting to sound like my wife when she tries to give me reason why she needs money from me IMMEDIATELY lol. Whats with everyone saying they're probably not in the office yet? I've ran much smaller companies than datinggold and always had someone watching the store 24 hours a day. These dumbasses have computers at home, quit making excuses for them.

As you no doubt know, wires can take up to 48 hours or longer if coming from Uzbekistan etc. But if he did send it already he should be more than willing to provide you with some type of proof right now to give you the confidence to wait for it.

Why doesnt an affiliate program know an affiliate sending $6200 worth of traffic enough for this to NOT be posted on the board and handled privately? I'd make sure anyone sending $6200 a pay period was contacted pretty often to make sure everything was ok and to promote loyalty.

We did do that, not sure why he posted it here. His wire was sent, it's an international wire. They don't appear in minutes. They can take a little bit.

Why don't you either read the entire post or STFU. They bounced a fairly decent size check on this guy and they fed him a bunch of bull on icq, and all their public contact info is fake?......now go get a clue.

DG has resolved this issue and I think there a stand up company for taking care of the situation. See most oldtimers and pro's would have handled it different.

I am also wondering why he didn't set his account to wire in the first place.

The banking problems... Now you will have holds on $200 checks because a large one got fucked up, a wire would have protected you from this.

I can name a ton of companies that have had check problems / bank problems in the past. And these are some of the biggest ones out there. I won't actually name them but if you have been around you know what I am talking about.

Shit happens to the best of us sometimes. Banks do make mistakes.
