good shit...perfect timing for me... -
Nice find.
SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60. Let me repeat... A 120 x 60 button and no more that 3 lines of DEFAULT SIZE AND COLOR text.Comment

I have a domain with them and the service is very slow but no problems other than that.Comment

well i made another post about it but i will elaborate..
First off lets clarify , you can only get one of them for that price i think
Secondly . The registrar is some australian outfit.. thats not so terrible but its not yahoo..
Third.. the dns system rarely works.. if you change dns more than twice in 24 hours it locks up and you cant change the dns until you contact them..( and go thru the mindless tech supports ) If you get a new domain set the dns , and never change it , you might never have any problems ( until you try to change them )
Fourth .. domain locking.. i noticed no "locking" thing in the dns management , and upon checking my domain it said "unlocked" , so i called tech support and asked " how do i lock my domain " , he said " its locked , they are all locked " , i said " it say's unlocked clearly " , he says " dont worry they are all locked and can't be changed without going through a rigorous screening process ( etc ) , checks and such "
so i say " well then why dont you just put "locked" on the domain instead of having it say "unlocked", he says " dont worry about it , nobody can transfer your domain ". I said " well what if I want to transfer to a diff registrar " , he gave me some long line then said he couldn't answer than and had to ask someone else , but they werent in so call back " lolhatisblack at yahoo.comComment

I've registered 6 so far, Had an issue with changing the nameservers on a few. It kept saying "our records show you do not own this domain, please contact customer support. Finally after 25 tries it went through. It's a great deal but expect a few headaches.icq 290-876-378Comment

DAMN!!!
I just reg'd 20 domains last week for $5.99 each and thought I got the deal of the year! I've used DirectNIC for a few years and got tired of paying $15 per domain. I was happy that I saved $180 on this "run" BUT could have saved another $60?
LOL
Timing is everything!
Thanks, Lens!
BTW - I never had a problem wit DirectNIC - love their management interface and still have 40+ domains with them

I have few questions ...
Tell me please if i have to buy hosting from yahoo to receive a $2.99 domain name ?
If not ..... the best way is register new domains for many 5-6 years.
Is it possible later to transfer them to godaddy ?

Important & critical domains stays with Directnic ( the money maker ones ... ).Originally posted by onnowhy some sites still have domains at $15 if not you can find sites at $2
i have some domain with directnic and never had problems, but $15 is too much
Other domains for traffic funelling etc ... can go with less " serious" registrars.
If you want some at $ 4.95 ( and they are pretty good up to now ):
