Preacher set alight on Brisbane street corner
BRISBANE, March 7 AAP|Published: Thursday March 7, 1:53 PM

"A street preacher was doused with fuel and set alight on a Brisbane street corner today, police said.

The man had been standing at the corner of Vulture and Boundary Streets at West End on the city's southside at 10am (AEST) when a man took exception to what he was saying and poured what appeared to be lighter fuel over him before setting it alight, a police spokesman said.

With his clothes on fire, the preacher went into a nearby hardware store seeking help.

A passing off-duty paramedic was able to douse the flames.

The preacher suffered only minor injuries and did not require hospitalisation, a police spokesman said.

Police were interviewing a man in connection with the incident but had not yet laid any charges."

and yes i am well aware this is a bad thing to have happened.. "freedom of speech" and all that..
