I think my allergies are worse than anyone I have ever met.

Mine are atrocious.

I go into sneezing fits that last 5 to 10 minutes. My eyes burn all day. My inner ear lobes itch to the point I have made them bleed by scratching.

All medications make me so tired I can't function, this includes "non-drowsy" clarinex and Flonase.

If you have ever been around me at a show, you have likely seen me walk off because of it.

Anyone else in my boat? Anyone have any nifty solutions? I am out of them.

What about getting the shots? I did that when i was younger, and it worked great. I only really have trouble now when the seasons change.

I am not sure what I am allergic too, I used to believe it to be ragweed in the midwest, but now I am in Southern California so all bets are off.

Only real way to get it figured out is by doing the allergy test. I have heard it is overrrated though.

I wish I would have outgrew it.

My ex husband was like that when we first moved to N.C. He had to get shots once a week for months, he had no choice. They where so bad, he couldn't function. They have been better since then.

Allergies are awful. I outgrew most of my symptoms too (used to hit me hard for about a month each year).

Get some raw locally produced honey and start eating it. Takes some time but eventually you will just get over all of your local alergies.

I have the same problem,
I used to take clarinex like tic-tacs,
I found I am better of avoiding the medication all together.
All I can add is have a Hepa filter in your air return of your home, and if you have a newer car most are equiped with a hepa filter, replace it at least twice a year

I have a hay fever which is as bad as your allergy

allergex work best for me, I used to take phenergan which was ok too, both of them make you drowsy but it's not that bad, or it could be that I just got used to them

I'm in the same boat and it doesn't help that our grass was freshly cut in the front and back yard. I thought I was gonna burst a blood vessel in my eye earlier from sneezing so much.

I'm gonna take benedryl and I know it puts me to sleep and it's still early but shit I need relief, ASAP!

Bees eat all the stuff you are alergic too and in turn their honey will help you combat the allergies.

Google it, their are tons of articles.

As far as finding a bee keeper in your area, i'd start at a local health food store and they should have it. If not just try the local farmers market.

I"m allergic to everything as well...I stopped taking meds as they just don't work anymore. I have extra sensitive skin and I blow up with big huge hive outbreaks and then my nose runs non-stop when the weather changes.

your just unhealthy... Juice some veggies and fruits. Have a hearty diet of meats and salads. Take vitamins daily. In about a month, your body's immune system should have enough strength to battle the allergies. Some allergies will go away but some are just hardcore.

The thing about honey is true. Used it to sweeten stuff up like tea, chicken breast, muffins, cornbread and pretty much anything.

Man, I have been having the most terrible time with my eyes for the past 12 months.

Always burning, watering, vision can be blurry, they're bloodshot. I'm thinking about moving next door to my eye doctor to save gas money. I've been seeing him every 6 weeks for a while now as a check-up and nothing seems to be kicking this problem. Infection after infection. I've been taking pills and drops for about 2 months now, after a week of the routine my eyes felt fantastic for about 2-3 weeks, then they started getting worse again. Last week he gave me some new drops to try, no changes yet.

Its extremely frustrating. I only wear one contact now because my other eye gets too irritated to wear one, luckily its my stronger eye. I really should start doing some research and maybe I'll luck out with some type of food.

I am allergic to Cory

Seriously do take the allergy test and the bee honey stuff if it's things in nature that are setting you off.

My SIL is allergic to man made fabrics, i.e. she gets wheezy and itchy around anything that's not 100% cotton, linen, etc. In her case, nothing will help - she just has to stay away from these fabrics. You might have to redo your wardrobe

Yup just as he said.
Check the local heath food stores (not the GNC type places though).
Visit farmers markets.

Just make sure it is raw honey. If it has been treated or whatever it just sucks.

My friend has major allergy problems. She saw many doctors, but got no relief. Then she went to the clinic at UCLA. She now takes the following, and she is like a new person.

1. clarinex (5mg) which is a very small blue pill which she takes
once a day in the AM

2. flonase - nasal spray (50mg) which she uses once in the AM &
once in the PM

Good luck.

That is a good point - where you live can affect your allergies.

Find a Chinese herbal specialist--who's hopefully a D.O. or maybe even an M.D.
They can give you stuff that works without heavy side effects
The honey helps, too

California has been good to me. When I lived in Louisiana and in Kansas, I suffered all year.

Here, it is the Santa Anas that drive me nuts. They occur from Aug - Nov.

The good news is it rained good last night and I feel like a million bucks this morning, the rain tends to wash stuff out...

And thanks for the tips so far, I am hitting the Farmers Market next weekend.
