oh and some oil too...

the oil line you see in some pictures is when the tanker leaked.. the water was going down and was only about 2 feet when that happened. That is not the high water line. The water got about 12 feet high in all of those pics.

Woah ... The oil lines are nasty... that will fuck the shit up of a lot of places that could still be "decent" after some renovations . Oil is as pain in the ass to get rid off

all of the houses in those pictures had water 12 ft high for about a week or so. They are in the process of condeming them all and will start bull dozing 30,000 houses in this area in the next couple weeks.

I think in the near future they will come back and say that Katrina was a cat 5 at landfall. The amount of damage is just too great for a cat 4. Sorry that you have to go through this Will. Good luck getting everything in order and rebuilding.

Those photographs tell a very strong story about the monsterous wake left by Katrina. I am very sorry you lost your home, your belongings, and so many other things that i wouldn't fully understand without walking in your shoes.
