Word to PDF conversion... help me for $50.

If you can help me get this working I will Paypal you $50.

I need to convert a load of word files (docs) into PDF files. Doing the conversion is easy, however, keeping the links in the file is not. I have links in the files that link to other PDF files on the hard drive (not url's or anything). But you make it a link in Word and when it converts to PDF it is not clickable.

I know I can manually edit the PDF's to make the links work but this is not realistic and not a solution as I have 100's to do and very little time.

I need something that will convert the Word file over to a PDF and keep the links working and clickable.

I have tried ENDLESS amounts of software to do this and nothing seems to work.

I have tried:

Acrobat 7
Acrobat 6
cutepdf
makepdf
pdf995
clicktoconvert

and the list goes on and on.

I'm getting desparate now. $50 if your answer solves my problem.

I'm hoping somebody here can help.

resave those Word Docs first in Word as .html and then convert, that will carry the links over assuming you have a proper conversion tool, or something does the virtual printer properly.

Anybody else got any suggestions?

I really was hoping this one would work, I hadn't thought of it.

It doesn't work for me though. The formatting of the Doc is all over the place.

Thanks for your suggestion...

Will try the eprintdriver next.

Keep 'em coming guys.

Didn't work, same problem as all the other stuff.

Converted fine but links not clickable.

I've been trying to sort this out all week. I'm running out of time.

Try this one... http://sourceforge.net/projects/pdfcreator/

It sets itself as a printer and will create PDF's from any program. I would try it out for you ahead of time to see if it works, but I'm away from my office PC.

GL!

It's what I use. Directly converts the word doc. I've never tried an html embed. Good luck.

I'm an idiot.

I didn't read the whole list in your first post. I'm retarded tonight. I'll have to suggest openoffice.org, then.

sounds like the problem isn't with the pdf creator, but something going on with your word or some other wierd shit.....i just tried the same thing you are talking about and it worked fine on my machine....i linked to a few local files in the same directory and it came out as hyperlinks to those documents in the pdf

Too bad you don't have a mac. When you go to print a file you simply choose to print to PDF and it's done.

If you'd like, email your docs to me and I'll do it for you.
