the industry mags are driven by advertising dollars. advertisers are the ones that get their pictures in the mags and little articles written etc. even if it doesn't appear like it, if you are looking at an ad or article or feature in a mag, its 90% driven by ad dollars. this would exclude feature cover stories where the mag makes their monthly "big deal about something" if you notice how the mags are, there is a core group of about 50 people that are always in the mags, (unless the ad creator has pics in their ad that was submitted for print). you can see it in every mag. the same people get their pics in there and the articles.

I would never put something like this inside my members area. To begin with it would be cheating my affiliates. My main goal is to retain my members. Why in the hell would I want to send them away from my site to sign up for another? How would that help my retention? Do you think that would be fair to my affiliates? I don't.
