You can live nicely here for about 1800 a month.

We just did our budget so we could get a mortgage.... it was pretty depressing. It looks like about 7k a month for me and my husband in the Bay Area, if we want the house - about 5k a month if we keep renting.

60-80k and you can relax nicely

Studio apartments go for $1k-$1,200k, car insurance is amongst the highest in the country, taxes are out of control, and this has been determined to be the most expensive place for a family of four to live.
