They aren't all surfers. A majority are people that post here every day under another name. They just don't want to be caught in a contest thread.

I find that hard to believe.. a mod could check the ip and ban both names if they wanted to..they were doing a good job closing these post the most and pussycash atleast makes an effort to limit the whores but too many contests draw the surfers

What is so hard to believe? I see those names pop up minutes after a contest starts at times. Its not to difficult to use a proxy or use a different connection. Not everyone has a static IP.

Anyhow I could care less it was just something I noticed.

OK I'm still new, how do you just "KNOW" someone is a surfer? I mean...is it THAT obvious? How do you know they aren't just all noobs.

BTW, I'm still considered a newbie at GFY (not in the biz) so I didn't try to enter that contest.

Surfer..posts practically all his posts in contests,rarely contributes in other threads only to add smilies and 3 word comments.Will sell their sig for 50 bucks only to post in the sponsors contests.
It's possible that those unknown"webmasters" could be outsourced but I find it real lame that a established webmaster would use another nick to try and win 50 bucks or so in a contest..
