Dean you crack me up - you're on FIRE dude!!
:1orglaugh anyways....WELCOME TO THE CLUB, at least these guys were nice enough to admit they copped something from you. I've been plagued for years with dickwads (including LARGE SPONSORS) stealing my shit , (especially photos) and then they DENY IT or blame it on an affiliate. Matt |
ouch...hehe
and one point for Spunkycash and zero for Dean. Get over it man |

How many times a week do you see someone here that runs a program complaining about stolen content? I see all the time. I would consider the layout/design of the form that I created as well as the copy that went along with it "my content". And I found it reproduced on your website without my knowledge or approval. I don't have anything to be a little pissed about? Come on already.......... |
It's about principle.

People steal my shit and then they don't understand why I get a little pissed :1orglaugh |
I did read the thread,
It's a FORM wtf. Apparently I stole something from your site as well since I have a contact form with picture uploads. might as well go after 90% of the people on here, I'm sure they stole it from you as well. Regardless of where spunky got the idea from, It's their code, they wrote it. Deal with it, move along, do something productive and stop complaining like you've got sand in your pussy. |

who cares if its just a form, they stole it and admitted they stole it. they shouldnt use it. what if i stole an image set of kates playground and used it to promote a site they dont own and said "oh, well its just an image set" when they complained about it?
|
As I said...
both parties are good people, know Spunky will get it changed... now just shake hands and have a drink !

Drama drama drama. Don't hate, masturbate. f00lz.
|
we need some naked pics of punker barbie to lighten the mood.
|
if it took you hours to design that form, you need to obviously rethink your tech skills, i think you are a little old to be using a computer, get out the fucking walker and cane. stick to shooting pics, you grumpy old man and stop your fucking crying. its a fucking form. coding forms like that takes less than 45 mins to do for any half brained person. so what you called out spunkycash which is a stand up company. you got your point across. now get off your fucking high horse, take your night time medication and goto fucking bed.
enough said. |
i got caught stealing once when I was five....
|
This is the best thing I've read since I've been frequenting GFY.

It's a form, it would take me 5-10 minutes to pop something similar out of my ass. Spunky, if you want, I will create a form for you for $2 to avoid further drama, but then you can keep that $2 for the shipping you paid to send me the thong i'm currently wearing. Now, if my form looks similar, it's only because this is what Spunky asked for in his detailed description of what he wants. Rest assured, I will have spent 5-10 minutes popping it out of my ass, without even looking at this other guys code or form page. This is so petty and ridiculous it's not even funny. In fact, if Spunky never admitted that it was possible that his designer copied it, there is absolutely no proof of the accusations. Forms all look very similar, they all have text fields, browse fields for photo uploads, a bit of text here and there, and generally laid out in a vertical manner, sometimes even with 2 or more columns though. They also tend to have a submit, and sometimes even clear button. Oh, and some people add a copyright to the bottom of every page they own, not meaning to necessarily "copyright" a form, because that would be ridiculous to think that someone would actually claim one. I guess it's possible though. :uhoh Btw, those pussy hurt comments made me literally laugh. :) |
bitching over a form is without a doubt one of the gayest things I have seen here.
Infact I think I am going to lift it and use it on one of my agency sites.....just cuz.... |

maybe I should steal your blood pressure medicine and replace it with some xanax...

You don't copy/paste other people work plain and simple... That's BS. Never believed in that.. If you like what somebody did on a page you use if for ideas but add your own style to it. That's the way things work.
|
Dean I got your back on this..

cool - 3-way drama

Listen....all Spunky had to do was apologize and tell me that he'd look into this and get back to me. Instead, he wants to tell me that it's ok for him to use stolen material on his website because as he put it..."it's only a form". My argument is that it's NOT only a form. I buy shit all the time from sites on the internet and I fill out a lot of forms. However, I have never filled one out that looked like mine. Not that mine is anything special, but the layout of the form and the text that accompanied the form is unique. Even when Spunky agreed that his designer copied and used my material on his website, some of you guys seem to think that it's ok to do that? :disgust
As I said previously....I am no designer. It takes me hours to put something together that may take a designer only a few minutes to do. So I spend a lot of time building shit and it pisses me off when I see someone using my shit like Spunky did. But what pissed me off even more is that Spunky thinks it's ok to steal and use my work because it's "only a form". I expect a comment like that from a newbie in the industry or someone who doesn't have a clue but a comment like that from a respected industry professional? :disgust It concerns me that whoever this mysterious designer is that Spunky hired to do this job...might be doing jobs for a lot of you folks. And you should be concerned that he might be stealing shit from other websites to build your projects. Some of you can't see far enough in front of you to realize this. Some of you folks have never created anything in your life....how are you to understand how I feel? You have no idea what it's like to create something only to find someone has stolen and used your creation without your knowledge or approval. It doesn't matter if it's a form or a true work of art. There are quite a few people who posted in this thread that do actually understand my point of view. These are people who have created things that have been ripped off (and continue to be ripped off) by others in our industry. This is OK??? Is there a difference between ripping off some pictures and ripping off the design and layout of a submit form and the "unique" text that accompany that form? Stealing is stealing and a thief is a thief. It doesn't matter if it's a little html or a picture. That's how I feel about this thing and that's about all I have to say about it :thumbsup |

Matt's a good guy, I used to drink with him WAAAAY before either of us EVER got a cheque from adult.
He'd never rip anyone off, in fact, I think he's probably one of the most generous, honest webmasters I've known. Damn, it's a form. If someone ripped off a form of mine I would probably shrug it off. |
Skufty wonders how much he really would have made now if he had used them

The question is, does Skufty get mad that sponsors do not offer Milkbones in the rewards admin area?
