It is an adult business message board...and it supports the members who support the economy of this community and based on your opinions...conduct...and inability to step down when you have clearly been shown other perspectives you have confirmed ......

1. You have poor communiation and negotiation skills and even when presented with factual information still maintain an arrogant and ignorant position.

2. This means for me I would walk the other way with any business dealings with you on any level.

3. You would make a terrible employee.... disrespectful, self indulgent, self rightious, immature, and frankly....not very bright when it comes to "playing nice with others"

4.Message boards are a business, and your conduct and characteristics demonstrate your inability to play at a high level

5. Keep in mind it is how you interact as much as what you say. I dont mind that you have a personal dislike for a particular musician and that you are the one who looks like the uninformed unenlightened 20 year old immature bratty kid... it is the fact you cant have an opposing opinion without assuming there are those out there who can justify the credibility, clearly demonstarte the merit and influence, and you still choose to take your own personal opinion over fact.

This has nothing to do with the Band, the music, or even the rock music genre to me... it has become a contest of watching someone completely destroy any and all credibility... your opinion has not made a nay sayer out of me... your attitude has.

I hope you can take a real lesson from this.... sometimes what you say can be less important as how you say it....

Now I remember this but I can't find my copy of the tape...

From what I understand this is from a bootleg called "Die Laughing". It's a recording of one of the last backyard parties they preformed. Van Halen had just recorded their first album but it hadn't been released in stores yet. The guitar world didn't know "eruption" yet and if you heard the entire concert you would hear that the audience applause after the solo was very small compaired to the size of the crowd. Nobody "got it" yet.

Good stuff. Post the whole show if you can find it. It's great and they even played songs that didn't appear until Halen's 3rd-4th albums.

Van Halen is cool, I liked to listen to them when I was still in high school and into the 'guitar god' thing, but I'll still choose Angus Young over Eddie every time.

As I get older I like the more melodious type work rather than the super aggressive hard edged solo stuff. Peter Frampton on 'Do you feel like I do', when he finally quits talking on his guitar and goes nuts at the end is good shit.

early 70's Jimmy Page is still the uber-rocker guitar god imho.

Kinda funny, Journey would put out these treacly sacharrine sweet MOR 'rock' songs that were all tame and limp and then all of a sudden here comes this monster badass Neal Schon solo out of nowhere. I hate Journey but I would listen to the whole song just to hear Neal come stomping in and run over everybody.

This power soak allows the amp to achieve great sound at low volumes and sounded as big as a wall of amplifiers, it was later was named the Rockman which was a little bigger than the size of a peanut butter sandwich and became a big selling and used piece of equipment in the 80's and is still used today.

I couldn't agree with you more. All too often I see comments by people like the one by Havalina that discredit a song or an artist simply because they don't like their music. Just earlier I was discussing Warren Zevon with someone. I said I don't like any of his songs except for two. But at the same time I made it aware that I think he was a great songwriter and musician. I almost wish I could like his music a lot more than I do. And I will continue to try actually. I have his Greatest Hits. Some times music can grow on you.

I was the same way with Harry Chapin music. I knew he was a great songwriter and storyteller...but could never get into his music for the longest time. I never put it down, it just wasn't my taste.

Times change of course, and now that I'm in my forties I finally have an appreciation for his great talent - and have a long list of favorite tunes he did.
