Those Who Promote GUBA

traitors to this industry - plain and simple. there are 10,000 paysites big and small in every niche run by hard working webmasters willing to pay you per signup or revshare who BUY content, SHOOT their own content - GUBA is nothing but a thinly veiled den of content theivery - parsasites living off the work of others.

if people really want to get rid of them they should not trade traffic, accept submissions, etc with sites that promote guba. i think that would make some people reconsider what they are promoting.

GUBA is a slap in the face of all hard working webmasters/program owners, kind of like the P2P networks, to sum it up in one sentence

ya i think its scum too.

but i also think people posting katesplayground, tiffanyteen, nextdoornikki, allison angel videos/pics on their page and linking it to nastydollars sites wrong too but they get away with it.

no one seems to care that people are posting content and linking to other sponsors and getting away with it.

so their are scum webmasters and scum sponsors.

some people feel the same way about programs like teenfuns from holland, they look way too young for comfort. and i mean not littleapril young. i mean way younger.

then their is virginphotos.

there is somewhere you can draw the lines.

curious here since there is a consensus..

what about p2p? ppl dont talk about how bad it is now since they added spyware and crap on them.. but they are still a major source for how ppl get content.

Imho P2P is even worse than Guba, but I'ld say that most webmasters already know that they can't do anything against so they just don't mention it anymore.

Also, there's no way to promote a P2P program, so we can't get mad at ourselves and getting mad at Kazaa for example doesn't do anything as they don't read our rants here

The GUBA folks were at the Phoenix Forum and a couple of other webmaster events, they even sponsored a couple small portions.

Hubby and I wondered what would happen and watched but we didn't see one person refusing their drinks, food, t-shirts etc.

Why should sponsors be upset about guba or p2p? Just another way to get their pictures and movies out there for free, the same movies and pictures that have their url's all over them. Better yet, the surfer types in the paysite url, the sponsor does'nt have to pay a webmaster a commision.

If it would only be samples, etc. you'ld be right, but not if downloading full movie episodes is possible like it is through GUBA or P2P.
Why would you want to sign up to a paysite if you could get all the content (and I'm not talking about a few teasing samples) for free?

What, you mean you have to ask them NOT to steal from you and they comply? NO WAY!

Good thing about Guba is they convert like shit and they pay little to nothing. So it is unlikely to get tons of webmasters running there.

Hey, I tried proving our/your point, seems as if you didn't read right, I'm totally against porn being available in P2P networks or in the usenet

all im saying is in my original post is that there is a correlation between educated websurfers and free porn.

first they type in the domain
then they do a search engine search/freesites
--->paysite porn is here. (if users are still uneducated at this point to finding free porn, they will most likely buy)

then they use newsgroups to find free porn
then they can use p2p
they they find torrent

If you look at a business model, what is guba offering that isnt free already? u can call them shady, but its smart that they are getting paid for giving away "free content"

I agree. How does this new rule on our sites sound.

On TwistysCash we won't accept any affiliates that do business with GUBA
On Thumbzilla and our other sites we will not trade links or accept galleries from those that do business with GUBA.

if any of us did the same thing as GUBA we'd be tarred and feathered and have our asses sued - it's just cuz of this nebulous thing called Usenet and 'the newsgroups' that they can act legitimate.

promoting your own sites or sponsors sites on Usenet is good - it's the only benefit Usenet has as we all know there's absolutely nothing you can do about surfers posting movies and pics - just make sure your URL's are on everything. but GUBA and the rest are still profiting - they pay for nothing - just bandwidth. wouldn't you love to have your own paysite with literally thousands of terrabytes of great content without paying a cent for any of it?

sounds good Shap.
