Transfering a Blog
i just updated my host and got a virtual host with godaddy.com i just wanted to know if my blog would be able to move over here as the old database would be gone after i purchase the new one and cancel the old one

you'll have to export the old database, and then the import it in the new host...
reinstall your blog software, or move it over and change the config to point to the new dirs and database... |

If godaddy gives you a database with their hosting, then you can just move over the database and install the blog script on the goddady virtual account.

On old host:
PhpAdmin : export the db to your computer Cpanel : create DB backup, dl to your computer On new host PHPadmin : import DB from your computer Cpanel: restore DB backup from your computer. Note: if you would have choosen a virtual with us ( or many others here) , we would have done the whole move in 5 minutes .... and we are adult-friendly....
