need a test for a cogent hosted page vs cogent/fails to tier 1

Hi,

I'm trying to decide if i need to get away from cogent bw altogether or if i can stay with some hosts that have a cogent line that fails over to a tier 1.


So i submitted a gallery hosted on tier1 to a site hosted on level3 and it went through ok.

Next i submitted a gallery hosted on pure cogent only and that got a timed out error.

Next i submitted a gallery hosted on a cogent line that fails over to a tier 1 and that timed out too...so did it switch over or did it get timed out in the switch over process?


Anyone know a page where i can submit urls and see if the level3/cogent battle is effecting the pages or not, or even better a page that reads out the routing of the request so i can see what's happening?

Nothing wrong with cogent.

Its the same as all the others - put 150mbs on a 100mb server and it wont perform well.

agreed, but that is not the issue here as both servers are new and hardly being used, both being on 100mb pipes and only using around 15-20mb of that for now.

The problems have only arisen in the last couple of days with the level3/cogent conflict.

Err - yes - there is a little level3 problem ATM lol

I had to connect threw a proxie setting in firefox to be able to see gfy.

Everything from adult.com , topbucks, adultplayersclub, wannawatch.com and many others are all just not there. Its like that for anyone up here i guess.
