MSNBC: War on Porn -- Is this a battle the FBI should be fighting?
"Certain fundamentalist religious groups and strains of feminists never gave up, however, and now Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, spurred by congressional legislation, has taken up the cause.
But if sources for the Post story are any indication, FBI director Robert Mueller may have a tough time finding agents who take the job seriously. Not only are they more focused on, say, rooting out terrorists and making sure CEOs don?t run off with the shareholders? dough, but an awful lot of the FBI no doubt have some personal experience with porn.
?Honestly,? Gellman quotes one, ?most of the guys would have to recuse themselves.?"
"Maybe that special FBI squad should plant porn inside terrorist cells. You know, keep 'em busy." http://msnbc.msn.com/id/9504659/
How true that actually is. If the religious right get their way, we will become more like our enemies. Makes you wonder what happened the religious wackos when they were kids.

From that same paragraph:
the FBI has signed onto the Bush administration?s War on Porn by recruiting agents for a special anti-obscenity squad. And they won?t just be looking for child porn, either, but pornography for grown-ups, made by grown-ups, featuring grown-ups.
Where are the GFY Bushies to declare that there is not going to be any war on porn?
"Advocates say it?s long past time the government cracked down because pornography can turn people into sexual predators."
Ok now, this kind of talk ALWAYS pisses me off.
Put yourself in this situation. It's a world without porn, you're a 25 year old ugly loser that's still a virgin and since there's no porn, you've never even seen a picture of a pussy to know what one looks like. Do you think that it'd ever cross your mind to sexually abuse the hot girl that lives next door ?
Sex is what us guys think about all the time. It's just that there's not enough available sex to go around to keep us satisfied, so we resort to porn. If you take away the porn, you're gonna have a lot of sexually frustrated men which could lead to problems. Hell, even I have pound one out every now and then and I'm a married man.
I feel that porn is a way to feed the people's needs rather than making them predators. For people that can't get laid, rarely get laid, or even just wanna see some of their fantasies lived out, I think that porn is a good thing.
"In a representative sampling of 688 young people aged 18 to 30, he found that 98 percent of men and 80 percent of women had viewed porn. About half of those women used it at least once per month. Men used it much more often. About 38 percent of men used it three times per week or more, which makes you wonder what these guys do for a living."
His personal implication being that if you "use" (oh, love that addiction-inspired phrasing) porn three or more times per week - apparently you're incapable of making a living?
USE PORN AND YOU WILL BECOME INCAPABLE OF HOLDING A JOB AND THEREFORE DESTINED TO BECOME A WELFARE SLOB.
I guess that 10 min. viewing of (insert porn bimbo here) really has a tremendous lasting effect...
i think every porn webmaster should send surfers to that poll & tell them to vote no
How about make a quick script that uses proxys to vote no
