every few years they predict a new virus "coming soon" and the "end of the world" is near... there's always something.

My thoughts? 99% of the time, it's nothing really for us to worry about. We'll forget about it in a year.
The 1% time, when it really truly does hit... I'll have no say in how it happens or when, so there's no sense in me worrying over something I have no control over.

The difference now is that it's already started. There are signs the pandemic flu is coming soon. A pandemic flu is not science fiction, they happen every 20 to 40 years. The last one was in 1968-69.

I think its time to tell china to go live on the moon or something. They're taking our gas, giving us weird viruses, and providing our streets with slow drivers that backup traffic 23 blocks. btw yes i know this is an old thread but, bump!

I love threads like this where scare mongers try and try to convince everyone that we are all going to die...as if they invite it. When people post information which shows it just a lot of hot air, the scare mongers get upset and say "no no, wait, we are all going to die, this is different this time!!"
