PHILADELPHIA -- Police sources say that a body found burning Tuesday morning in Philadelphia's West Oak Lane section was a relative of a well-known musician.

Sources told NBC 10 News that the body has been identified as Sam Derry, the stepfather of rapper Beanie Seigel.
Derry's body was found early Tuesday morning in the 8100 block of Forrest Avenue. Detectives are working to figure out how Derry died.
A witness said that she saw several men dump the body in a secluded driveway.
Police said they got a call about 4 a.m. Tuesday that someone was sick or injured in the West Oak Lane area. When they arrived they said they found a man on fire in a back alley. He was pronounced dead.
Investigators believe that Derry was killed somewhere else and then dumped in the Forrest Avenue alley.
NBC 10 spoke with a witness who said she saw the body being dumped.
"I seen a van drive up," Denise Calhoun said. "I saw two -- I saw two people dragging something, three people just dragging something into the trash."
Nearby residents said they're shocked to have something like this happen in their neighborhood.
"I seen a -- I heard a whoosh, a big whoosh and then all of a sudden it was this fire. I said, 'Oh, they're putting the trash on fire back here.' But I said, 'Oh, my goodness, that's no trash, that's a body,'" Denise Calhoun said.
Calhoun said she saw a leg or an arm and called 911.
"Oh, I mean, it was scary. Oh, I mean, I never. I mean, I've never -- I've been here for nine years and I never saw such a thing," neighbor Rebecca Reed said.
Neighbors told NBC 10 that the area is a quiet neighborhood.
The body was so badly burned that authorities, at first, were not even sure of the victim's race.
