Its what they use in Micky Dees milk shakes and its expensive, you have to add a milky color to this as its too transparent on its own. It tastes bad as well. Like wallpaper paste.

we use it all the time- a couple of drops of milk make it the right color.
It's a thickener in many food & cosmetic items and not expensive considering the quantity needed.
