I think it doesn't look any where near as good as the V3 and it's a good bit bigger too. And if they havn't put any effort into the OS like last time, then I certainly aint buying one.

I'm moments away from inventing a camera with two phones in it.

This a a 3G/UMTS version of the v3, not a replacement for it. If you don't need 3G or have no coverage, theres no use to get the v3x at this time.
