Frontpage everytime fucks with code escpecially when making tables

Meloman 10-02-2005 09:38 AM

I got started back in '98 with FrontPage. I STILL use FrontPage. After so much time I'm pretty sure I know html just fine. I cut and paste into my pages all the time and tweak shit in straight html mode.

I didn't like DreamWeaver the first few times I tried it. Had too many options and I just stared at the screen not knowing what to do. FrontPage is basic and easy to use. Less options just means less time searching for basic commands.

I've occasionally tried doing something in notepad in just html , but it just too time consuming. I can whip out anything quickly in FrontPage and never had a problem. Everyone says FrontPage writes weird code but my pages always look fine and I've been doing this for a while now.

I just don't see myself getting away from FrontPage now that I've mastered it and can do stuff sooooooo much faster with it.

Wow, only 4 people don't know HTML.. I guess all the people that don't know HTML are staying out of this post..

I started with Front Page, but hated the extra bullshit it would throw in there. I tried notepad, but it had size limitations. Now I use an editor called Professional File Editor, I love it, especially for when I want to do mass editing.

UltraEdit all the way.....can't use any of those other proggies don't know how
they work....I start with copy/pasting a shitload of empty brackets on a blank
page......then I'll start filling them with code and identing them.....goes really
fast :winkwink:

Dalai lama 10-02-2005 03:53 PM

Yes I can.

fetishblog 10-02-2005 03:54 PM

notepad2 is my friend.

Barefootsies 10-02-2005 05:10 PM

Yep. Can do it fully.

I prefer to bounce back and forth between and editor, and notepad. Editor at times makes certain tasks a lot faster. Same for the vice versa.

You really *need* to check out NoteTab - preferably the Pro version. Excellent programmable editor for less than $20!

I think you'd have a hard time if you don't at least have an understanding of how it works. Dreamweaver doesn't always get the nesting right. Or I'm not using dreamweaver right.
