    Anyone know the first true energy drink?

    Besides coffee/espresso's

    I figure the first Energy drink was JOLT Cola with 2x caffeine

                                                  JOLT....it was almost like an urban legend in elementary school. Everyone had heard of it but no one had actually had one. To this day I still haven't had one...I do enjoy redbulls though.
