drove up to 260 more than once (just testing the cars

) on a highway.......but at 400.....definitely need a safe track!

here in montreal you are allowed once a year to drive on the formula1 track!

i forget how many kmh = mph, but i drive at speeds in excess of 230mph all the time. going to be at new england dragway in epping NH this weekend. I'd love to go 400mph but that's just not possible even with nitrous in my cars.

Top I've ever done was 260 and to be honest, the car felt pretty stable still. I'd keep going (on a closed circuit at this point) until I felt I couldn't control it anymore.

I topped out my old Ford Escort at an earth scorching 145 km/h (a little over 90mph?) on the TransCanada highway a few years back. The whole car was shaking and being pushed back and forth in the lane, and the noise was so loud I thought the car was literally going to fall apart right there.

Anyway, that was the last time I'll ever go more than 120 km/h in a Ford Escort

I'd have to build up to that speed over time.Just to hop in a car and go that fast is something I wouldn't do.Took me nearly 6 months after I got my first Porsche to get comfortable taking it up to 150.

That's only for the common man. If you have a bit of contact, you can get the cops to close a road for a few hours to test the speed limit of your car.

At that speed you go 111m or 364 ft per SECOND

I had a beautiful metallic black Porsche 911 turbo, i loved that car more than life itself. I had some work done on it like adding a second turbo and a 6 speed box and it went like shit off a shovel. Anyway one day two cops ( policemen) pulled me over just outside my home in Twickenham, they said i was doing 120 mph in a 30 limit. They also said they where disappointed i didn't go on the M3 ( a freeway near my home in the UK ). Well to cut a long story short they piled into the car, the guy in the back had to lay down as there isn't much room back there. I drove to the M3 it was very early in the morning so little or no traffic and i took them for a drive. Showing off i took the car to 189 mph which is about 302.4 km and it held the road like it was glued to it. I was told by the guys who did the conversion it was good for 250 mph or more but i didn't have the guts to go that fast, in fact 189 mph was the fastest i ever drove any car and looking back it was a stupid thing to do as the roads in the UK are small compared to the USA.

Thats a badass car. The fastest I've ever gone in a car is around 220 km/h (around 140 mph I believe) on the Autobahn. We would have gone faster, but the car we were in didn't go any faster than that.
