Its funny you say that. I don't feel like I am acting a character...but being a part of who I truly am. People say, "Great costume!" and I always correct them, "Not a 'costume' ...'outfit.'"

Well... I must say I think the Malcolm/Burning Man episode was pretty good.

It turns out that some veteran burners worked on the show as consultants, and I think it shows.

I too loved the part of the dad being perceived as "performance art", the way BM was described by the Larry Harvey-esque charachter, and the way some embraced the experience and others just didn't get it.

The first time I went, I had a tough time the first day or two getting my head around what I was in the middle of. That was probably the most inner-growth I've ever had in a 48 hour period. At first I thought I had made a mistake, but by the end of the week, I didn't want to leave. I understood why the kid in the show didn't want to burn down the man.

Good job Malcolm In The Middle.

i have to admit my eyeballs started leaking when the old man with the ashes in his supersoaker started talking, i was so happy with the delivery of the message. it was a big sigh of relief for me. =)

Are there lots of "Burning Man Babies" made during that week?
