Yesterday I bought a 1987 Jeep Cherokee Laredo with 105k miles for $1,000. The thing runs GREAT and the woman sold it because she had to put her mother in a home today.

I just got the oil changed and the tires checked out and after a few minor fixes, I'll be ready for winter....I've only driven the car for two days and I'm already becoming a Jeep man.

Since your getting it ready and all. Replace all of the belts and check the antifreeze levels.

Yes...those are Two good pieces of advice. No need to wait for a belt to break on me to fix them...You should have seen the air filter that was on it when I got the oil changed. It was pitch black.
