Sysadmins looking to manage more servers

Hello,
I know people don't like to read so I'm gonna keep this short
I represent a team of sysadmins from Romania, we've been managing
servers and networks for the past 5 years. We're working with several
companies (hosting and sponsors) and individuals from the adult biz.
We provide high end tech services: clusters setups/maintenance,
routers setup/maintenance, level 1 sysadmin for your servers,
network consultancy, custom firewalls, you name it. (we're not looking to answer basic questions)
I'm personally a *bsd fan but we know all *nix inside out.
Our services mainly target hosting companies, individuals or companies with
many dedicated servers.
If anyone is in need of such services please contact me on icq for details.

Thanks

tell me about solaris and linux automount and the pro's/con's of each.
What is better and why : raid 0+1 or 1+0
Explain in your own words why tcp_fin_wait_2 can be a problem.
why would you look at tcplistendrop?
what would you use on a solaris, freebsd and linux to look at the amount of file descriptors of a given process? (limit/ulimit does not count)
root or sudo and why?
how would you move 5TB from one host to another, located 7000 miles away?
Explain SAN vs NAS and why you would use either in a given situation?
a user calls and says 'i think someone hacked my machine' what do you do? DETAILS.

those are some pretty standard questions that I ask when I interview. Show me what you got.

who the hell is gonna hire someone they dont even know to manage their servers and data? especially someone from romania lol, no offense but i think webmasters here would be more likely to be sending money orders to the sons of south african kings before you get a job

Because of the kind of attitude that you display here, there's loads of people
who dislike americans...remember that the next time you wonder why the rest

toddler,
first of all if you read my message I'm not applying for a job here.
I've got work, but I can handle more.
Its not about me but an entire team.
If you have some servers/networks you want management for
hit me up on icq and we can talk and answer you any question you have.
Don't hit me if you're not serious about it and this is just some random
trolling.

sorry guy. you're just avoiding the issue now. if you won't spend the time to answer some questions, how can one know if you're going to spend the time to work on people's hosts?

I manage my own hosts, close to 3,000 at this point. Don't need your services, and from your avoidance, no one here does either.

Do yourself a favour, take your foot out of your mouth before speaking. If you have no clue what you're talking about, then better not speak at all.

As for darksoul's competence, there are few people I trust to have enough experience, skill and knowledge to manage a server properly. He happens to be one of them.

dude, that doesn't mean I'm one of them.
I'm working with enough people already and been doing this for years
many of them are from gfy.
And don't forget I could say the same about your country, I think
there are bigger scammers there than there are in EE.

you proved yourself that you were just trolling. Is that the issue

Congratulations for your 3000 hosts. I'm only at 200 right now so
you're obviously a mucho.
And your point is ? I think you're a bit too arrogant don't you ?

Resting. I'll hit you up later today, ICQ just crashed and every time it does that I have to reboot, once I kill the process. So I'm waiting with the reboot until I finish some work.

i bet he hasnt even seen a sun server in his life.

i bet hes running on a 486 dx2 66

not to be a pissing match or anything, not trying to be. but say someones box is down who do they call? the romanian? no they want to call the host. not someone in an international country.

obviously.
You don't just take someone random and give him the root password.
But thats true for every other kind of job.
People should always check who they're working with.
However your point in this thread is a bit close minded. If you ever
need help hit me up and you'll have no worries to give me your passwords

I manage my own hosts, close to 3,000 at this point. Don't need your services, and from your avoidance, no one here does either.

You and fris crack me the fuck up.

For all of you morons who think you are the man in the sky's gift to <whatever you do>, please remember this:

There is _ALWAYS_ a bigger fish. And that bigger fish knows when the smaller fish is making himself look like a fucking idiot.

(I am a small fish, fyi.)

And if you think you are the biggest fish, you are wrong. If you think you know the biggest fish, you are wrong.

Stop raining on this guys parade. For those of you who didn't know, in Romania sunshine was recently legalized, let them fucking enjoy life and make some dough.

nice try, but after you compare populations with percentage of internet access, statistically you're more likely to get scammed by a romanian.

you're wrong again

population Romania: 22,329,977
population USA: 295,734,134

assuming that there are 100 000 000 (totally made up number, only for illustration purposes) Internet frauds commited every year, that would give you these numbers:

Romania - 4.12 per capita
USA - 26.62 per capita

Well, since you brought it up, I'm calling you on this. Show me the numbers that prove it.

You are a bit naive if you think someone that tries
to scam you will give you his exact location just to be fair .
I've had to fight with this type of mentality since the very beginning.
I'm surprised that it still exists.
