Did you see the video on cnn where he is defending his work (superhero video). That guy is an idiot. How do you get an important job like that if you're a total moron like that. He didn't understand his questions and then the Senator ripped him a new one calling him "a deer caught in headlights".

That was a total biased panel doing the questioning. I thought he did very well. I at first as everyone else did was to pass blame to him real quick. After watching that it seems that there are others the are just as much to blame as him. But he will be the fall guy on this deal.

But FEMA has had a catastrophic hurricane plan since January, which warns that local government would not be able to cope with a huge storm.

"The response capabilities and resources of the local jurisdiction may be insufficient and quickly overwhelmed," the document reads.

Brown said it was unclear what Louisiana officials needed.

My first thought was holy shit I'm not going to move there ever and your probably a moron if you are. Did FEMA and the new orleans citizens just not see this. I think this disaster shows the gross incompentence within the government. Mike Brown and several hundred other people should all be fired. If you read this article and then decided that people should start evacuating the day before you need to be fired.

He is an idiot that never should have had this job, but he wasn't about to turn it down saying 'Nope, can't take it, I'm not qualified for the job". He was looking at the power and money that went with the position.

So he chose to be in a position he couldn't handle.....shame on him for taking the job and shame on Bush for offering it to him.

keep im mind this does not work if local and state goverment dont work together. Fema can not just march in and take control over things. The diffrent branches have to agree. But as they stated today there is a law about this and they are willing to change it.

What i found interesting was when the panel asked if the govement gave FEMA everything they needed and Mr brown said no they were denied funds for what they asked for there was no other follow up questions.
