__video camera needed! recommend a good 3 chip camera & lighting please__

i know almost nothing about what a good video camera is

i want a 3 chip camera and want to shoot it for dvd


i'd like a widescreen option on the dvd too, do i have to do that in camera or in software?


i need advice on a good camera to get, and also a starting light kit...

$5k & less budget

I like my GL2... It was a tad cheaper then the sony and I actually like the way the footage looks a little better for what I am shooting.

The biggest drawback on the GL2 that I found is the lowlight.. It sucks for that, daytime and well lit sets its much better. Most seem to use the sony with the gl2 a close 2nd.

Whats you budget on lights? Lights are a very expensive part if your looking for high quality, anything from lowel to kino flos. I might be able to hook you up with a used lowel kit if your interested?
