I'm in a hotel right now and can't seem to connect to anything, not even irc (port 6667) connects to a server.
I'm using the hotels lan network, no other network is available outhere. Anybody knows what's going on? Is it the hotels firewall or is it my laptop? It's a new laptop i purhcased yesterday, Packard Bell easynote running windows XP. I have turned off the windows firewall and norton internet security center. Can i connect using a proxy? If yes, any good proxys around? |

Hmmm...
I'd see if the hotel could check to make sure the connection's working first. Then I'd go into my network connections, and make sure it's enabled. Then I would disable, reenable, then would click repair. This clears out DNS/cache whatever and gets you a fresh connection. Just making sure it's not using/stored old DNS. ![]() |
