fucked up naming the files
let's say you have index.htm then a series of pages all linked together, but you want to change & actually make index.htm the second page without changing the name would default.htm work as entry page & i can link enter to index.htm
basically, i'm looking for a way out of editing a whole series of pages so i dont have to rename index.htm & keep everything in tact & have external links going straight to the domain to go to something that is not index.htm ![]() |

Do you have access to the httpd.conf file for the server, or, probably better, the .htaccess file for that directory? If you do, just add default.html before index.html in the DocumentIndex directive for that site:
DocumentIndex default.html index.html index.shtml index.cgi index.php Or have your host add it |
