I hear they're not the same build quality as the older ones. I've had an old style C180 for years and it's built like a Panzer tank. The local repair shop reckon I'd be stupid to trade it in for a new one.

I hope so! I have heard only bad things about the current C-Class to be honest...of course compared to BMW3 and similar cars. E and especially S-Class are a different story though. :)

Mercedes used to look classic and distinctive. Now all their models look like everything else.

I was posting a photoshoped S-Class before it was released, too...and guess what... the real car looked the same then :)
