Serge, why dont you buy a new board for your site ? That netpond style board is really terrible. Everyone is forced to scan through posts that dont concern them. The layout forces you to read 40 posts you dont care about to find one interesting topic. Its impossible to follow a thread without reading the whole board top to bottom. You can also sell more impressions off a UBB or VBulletin. Just my 2 cents, serge.

1) we don't sell impressions, we don't sell outgoing clicks,
so the point of changing format for "productivity sake is mute.
Do you know how many clicks we got off GFY before I started posting here?
1-2 a day, so, the format by itself means NOTHING,
it's PEOPLE who make or break the board.

2) in it's present form,
Oprano has no moderators on payroll and no employees to maintain it,
which allows us to come up with monetary prizes here and there, participate in charities without stupid auctions,
so,
why change the model which isn't broken?

The point was just that those boards take too much time to navigate and you might have more posts with a better board. But thats not a concern to you so I understand fully. I went to your board this morning for the first time and was gonna say hello but i just cant stand that style board cause it takes to long to follow a thread. Just giving some constructive commentary :)

we'll be opening niche board within the month and it will be threaded for the exact purpose and reason you outlined.

as for more postings/posters,
we can't complain, as we do everything we can to discourage
1) morons from postings
2) cut and paste spam

and despite it's "chaos",
Oprano has few distinguishing charecters which makes it different and IT place for Big Players:
we bust balls REGARDLESS if the entity sponsors Oprano or not,
we are there to find the Truth even when it's masked with ton of bullshit.
