been filming a massive piss test on patpong and silom soi 4 for french TV last friday , only one person was positive from what i saw . the cops told us that they are testing for extasy, meth, cocaine and heroine, plus they had two sniffer dogs with them.

from what the major general who was there told us , if you are on a tourist visa and get tested positive , you get a warning and get reposted to your embassy ( provided its your first offense ) if you are thai or are a legal expat you get charged for drug use in court. the top brass didn't elaborate wether you get thrown out of the country or not.

one sure thing is that i avoid taking anything illegal in thailand or else i don't go out for several days afterwards (they don't yet test the hair for drugs) so around five days is enough to get it all out of your system if you are just a recreational user.

payment or not , they will still get tested regularly. the tests don't depend on the local top brass , it comes from higher . the cops from the local police station are not the ones making the tests , they usually just assist.

its like for patpong the bangkrak high comissioner is meeting every month with all the bar owners ( over 250 of them ), but when the bangkok metropolitan police chief orders tests on silom , there is nothing he can do , he might try to tell some bar owners who give him some tea money , but its quite risky .

i knew like 4 days before that the tests would be in patpong area , but we've been warned that if we were to talk prior to the bust , we would have big problems , and not many people know the location of a bust beforehand so its easy to find the mole.
