I've been doing my own design work since going into biz for myself in 1984. My ads have been published in national magazines and on TV. How many people here have done that in here?

So yeh, I'll admit they might not be Wyldesites level quality, but I do like designing my own stuff and seeing my minds creativity all over the place, and I think I do a fairly decent job at it based on the ad results I've gotten.

Question with theory. (and I am replying to gallerseek, because I have started and finished 12 different logo contest and would hate to loose the trust of the board and great designers like him) PBucks vouched for Hank from SexKey, and not the thread starter. Could it be a practical joke? Maybe YankBro was a fake nic? Makes me wonder why screw.com, a pretty nice domain name since 1997 is a redirect.
This will somehow come to a conclusion I am sure.

But at the same time, I can't recall how many times I warned you all about watermarking your stuff (the very least a professional would do), so right now I feel like you deserve it. Since its been over a week without communication, I think its time to safely assume this was someone's practical joke. You never know, but its not looking good at this point.

i received an email from "hank" on the 27th, which was pretty elaborate about a designer position he wanted me to fill and how he really liked my work... but i can't cause i'm currently employed.. the point is though, i doubt this was a 'joke" / scam. if it was then someone has too much time on their hands lol.

Nobody manufactured drama. When you announced there was going to be an announcement and it didn't happen and then no communication for over a week, everyone got antsy about, because this has happened before with these contests.

I never doubted this for a second. I talked with Pbucksjohn and he gave Hank a call. Things took a while, but they are sorted now.

maintain their professionalism? You're the asshat that disappeared w/out a trace and left no word on the state of the contest. People waited quite sometime after the date you had said you would announce the winner. It took someone calling you to remind of your obligations.

These guys put a lot of effort into their designs, I'd be sensitive about getting ripped off too.
