What do you mean, you can't leave? Just get in your car and drive. I highly doubt they have armed guards and barbed wire around your town.

fuck them. i would just leave if i felt unsafe. stay safe dude. oh and you know why the bank won't let you take all your money out? because its not really there. if everyone wanted their money they'd run out.

You think banks carry an unlimited supply of cash. or perhaps a tree they can pick it off of? |

True, baddog. But here in Houston area most of the ATM machines are wiped out of cash, and no one is rushing to reload the $$$. If you're lucky, you might find one with some cash left. If you've been watching CNN, you'll see that some people have ran out of gas and overheated waiting to get out. They rae just stranded on the side of the fucking road with NO help. I can't leave, but even if I wanted to I'd probably just end up overheated on the side of the road. No way my car could stay going for 13 hours in one spot. I'd probably have to turn the air conditioner off to conserve gas, and I have a tiny 3 year old that would NOT be able to handle that. I'm just gonna hunker down :-)

My point is that if you have a bank card, you do not need cash. If you are leaving town anyway you can pick up cash along the way if you decide you need it to buy condoms in rest stop bathrooms. |
well it looks like Chris will be ok because the storm has shifted and should go almost straight north out of the Houston area... those that are in the Houston area probably will get a shit storm of rain and wind but nothing like NOLA hopefully

well just stay safe, man.
