TFT vs CRT regarding resolution & ClearType
Do you set your resolution to the recommended for your TFT monitor?
All fonts are fucked when set to 1024x768 on my 17" monitors. If I set it to the recommended 1280x1024 everything becomes too small but the fonts become readable. I tried enabling/disabling/tweaking MS ClearType, MS ClearType PowerToy, nVidia Image Sharpening, nVidia Digital Vibrance, etc. |

Setup is:
1) XFX GeForce 6600 PCI-E Dual DVI Passive Cooling 2) 2x Sony SDM-S74S 17" TFT DVI Total cost just for monitors & GFX card = $900 (£500 GBP) So far I'm thinking of going back to my dual 19" CRT monitors after 3 days. |

You should always run a flat panel in it's native resolution.
