Going Bass Finishing Tomorrow -- tips for me?
We bought a new house last month in Wales. I've been needing a hobby to get me out of the house so few weeks ago I took up fishing again (after about 10 years). We're 2 mins from the beach, so I usually go shorefishing or from the end of the pier, both venues being pretty productive even for me. Last outing was Monday. Came home with 6 mackerel, 2 edible pouting, and spent the day catching tons of tiddlers. It was a great day for me though more experienced anglers were pulling in dozens of catches: mackerel, codling, pouting, dogfish, and a nice bass.
The sea bass is what I'm planning on catching tomorrow (wed). Can anyone give me any tips? I'll be catching the tide coming in and going out. Plan on spending a good 10 hours. The idea I have is to catch some live bait, small pouting, and put them on a 1 hook drop rig underneath the pier. Any tips would be great. And for anyone interested I'll post the pics if I catch one. |
